 has been in business for 13 years, originating as a jewelry catalog and a store located in Mt. Dora, Florida. The business expanded after four years to include apparel and accessories, as it is known today. Jewelry continues to be a major draw for customers of all ages.The owner, Marie-France, brings a wealth of knowledge and information with an extensive business and fashion background. While in college, Marie-France designed and created jewelry which was sold independently as well as in local Burdines (now Macy's) stores. After college, she continued a career in retail management, ending up as a Regional Vice President for a major apparel chain. During that time, she also owned and operated a photography studio, which specialized in modeling and fashion portfolios. Leaving corporate America and starting a new business was prompted by the lack of creativity and cookie cutter style found in most apparel and department store chains. There was not much to offer for boutique shoppers in Central Florida. So... starting out with jewelry seemed to be the way to go! After attaining a reputation for high standards and quality among locals and out-of-towners, it was logical to move on to include apparel and accessories. Finding the perfect place to showcase the unique selection of merchandise was a two year process, with the Thornton Park location ending up as first choice, opening on Sept. 1st, 2000. The store has grown along with the neighborhood, becoming a destination for trend-setting customers who prefer to avoid the malls. The company goal has been and is to be a fashion leader, "my favorite shop," "that special place," where customers know they will find something to please them on every visit. Add personal service and great prices to the mix and you will have a memorable shopping experience! |
